"FaithBound 2": Build Your Faith, Break the Rules
In "FaithBound 2", you take control of the decaying Temple of Aphrodite, an unconventional cult hiding behind the facade of a cathedral by day. Gather funds, grow your following, and invest your "harvest" into upgrading the temple, all while keeping the authorities off your scent. Expand your religion through weddings, baptisms, sermons, and other events that allow you to reach a wider audience. You’ll need to maintain appearances to avoid unwanted attention!
When night falls, the temple only gets more interesting... Participate in wicked ceremonies, summon creatures through dark rituals, or initiate new nuns into your faith. Only these activities will generate the profit needed to pull a forgotten religion out of ruin.
Once you’ve collected your (perfectly legal) hard-earned money, you can invest it in numerous temple renovations. As you progress, you’ll unlock new possibilities, such as tending to your own garden or sending missionaries to do the dirty work.​

New girl moves in across the hall, heavy boots, eyeliner sharp enough to cut you, shirt two sizes too small for her ass, and suddenly your boring little apartment block turns into the most distracting place on earth. She barely looks at you at first, just this cold side glance and a tiny smirk like she already knows exactly how much you’re staring. And of course you’re staring. The whole game hangs on that tension: she’s right there, close enough to hear you jerk off through the wall if you’re not careful, and far enough that one stupid choice turns everything awkward. It feels like someone took the usual dating sim stuff, then stripped it down to just you, her, a crappy corridor, some tiny choices, and the slow burn of “how far can I push this neighbour thing before it explodes in my face”.

What I liked is how casual the sex side creeps in. You don’t start with some “hi, I’m your new slutty goth neighbour, let’s fuck” bullshit. It starts with tiny scenes: you hearing her music through the wall at night, her leaning against the doorframe in that lazy way that makes her chest pop, you catching just a bit too much skin when she bends over to pick her keys. Then you get that first choice to comment on it or pretend you saw nothing. Pick the bold option and she doesn’t melt right away, she kind of tests you. Stares a little too long. Sits on your crappy couch and spreads her legs like it’s totally normal, phone in hand, pretending she’s not watching your eyes move. There’s one moment where she “forgets” to pull her shorts all the way up after using your bathroom, and the game hangs there, giving you that sick little date sim question: touch, tease, or play it safe. That scene worked way better than when she suddenly gets super soft and flirty later, which honestly felt like a different girl wrote her own script. But that weird mood swing sort of fits a goth neighbour who might ghost you after blowing you on the balcony and then act like nothing happened when you meet in the stairs.

The writing is rough in places, like someone thinking in their second language and not checking grammar, but that actually matches the mood. There’s a line where she says something like “I like when people observe me” instead of “watch me”, and it sounds wrong, yet also kind of hot in this clinical way, like she’s inviting you to study her body. Some of the erotic text goes a bit too fast, though. One minute you’re talking about her band or whatever, next line she’s grinding that big ass on your lap like she’s known you for years, and I kinda wished the game forced you to wait, torture you with another day of bumping into her on the staircase, watching her hips sway while you’re holding grocery bags. Choices matter just enough that you feel like you can corrupt her vibe or keep it more “friends that fuck sometimes”. The whole thing is like testing how much your neighbour will let you perv on her before she either pulls you into her place by the shirt or slams the door in your face. It’s short, janky, horny as hell, and somehow both too tame and too explicit at the same time. And that stupid hallway plant near your doors is always in the frame, doing nothing, looking ugly as hell. I hate that plant.

Angel is the kind of girl who still says “sorry” when someone gropes her in the train, which is exactly why this city eats her alive. She’s this cute redhead trying so hard to be “good” while the whole place is basically a hunting ground for frustrated creeps. You start with her doing little everyday stuff that should be boring, like taking the train, doing classes, helping at home, but it never stays normal. Every routine quickly turns filthy. Guy “accidentally” rubbing his crotch against her in a packed wagon, professor sliding his hand over her thigh while pretending to help her with an exam, landlord walking into the shower like it’s his house, not hers. And the worst part is how often the game lets you pretend it’s all just a misunderstanding. If you want. If you don’t, it becomes exactly what it looks like.

The bar is the main playground. It’s not some cool stylish place, just a tired, sticky-floor hole full of drunks who have nothing better to do than stare at Angel’s ass while she carries beers. You’re bussing tables, trying not to spill glasses, playing these stupid little minigames to keep up with orders, but your real focus is on where the hands are going. A guy pats the seat and tells you to sit on his lap “just for a second,” and the game throws you a choice that looks small. Sit and smile to keep the tips flowing, or pretend you didn’t hear. Both feel bad in different ways. Same with the classic “if you bend a bit lower while wiping, I’ll tip better.” Thing is, it’s not one big decision. It’s a thousand tiny ones, and after a while it’s hard to say which moment was the first time you actually crossed a line. There’s this one scene where you’re carrying a tray, the bar is crowded, and some asshole slips his hand up your skirt right in front of everyone. The screen narrows your options to stupid things like “keep walking” or “yell at him,” and neither stops his fingers from already being there. That felt too real, in a messed up way.

What I liked is that even away from the bar, the game doesn’t magically chill. Going home in the evening has its own flavor of harassment, random guys at the bus stop, that creepy neighbor pretending he’s “just checking the mail.” Inside her house isn’t safe either, the landlord has that slime energy of “I pay for this, you know” and he acts like her body is part of the rent. You get choices that feel unfair, like letting him watch TV with her in a towel because she has no clean clothes, or locking herself in the room and risking “punishment” later. Half the time I picked the “safer” choice and still felt like shit. The game is not subtle about the fetish side, it’s full of public groping, forced “accidents,” blackmail, that whole corruption fantasy where morality slowly slips away. But it also nails that specific humiliation of pretending everything is normal while someone fingers you under the table at work. There’s roleplay bits too where Angel starts leaning into it if you push her that way, using the bar as an excuse to dress sluttier or flirt harder for tips, and even then the world doesn’t suddenly turn respectful, it just gets bolder. It’s messy, sometimes annoying, kind of repetitive in places, but it feels like it really understands this particular fantasy of being a “good girl” trapped in a city that refuses to let her stay that way.
