The first time Aetrian pushes in and doesn’t pull out, it’s not some grand declaration, it’s more like, “I can’t let you go, not anywhere, not even out of my body,” and yeah, the creampie is more emotional than it has any right to be in a furry fantasy story.

What I really liked is that their relationship actually feels queer in a good way, not some fake “no homo” fake-out. It’s two guys who know exactly what they’re risking by wanting each other and they still do it. You get those tiny moments where Jarrod’s hand lingers on Aetrian’s shoulder a bit too long, where Aetrian watches the way Jarrod’s tail moves when he’s nervous, and it’s not joked away. It’s romantic and horny at the same time, like, “I want to fuck you, but also I’d die if anything happened to you,” and both are true in the same breath. The world itself feels like it has depth without shoving lore down your throat. Names of other places and stories pop up and you just feel like, okay, this kingdom has history, there are other tales happening in the background, but right now, in this story, it’s just these two idiots trying to hold onto each other while fate yanks the rug. I kind of wish there was one more scene of them just being dumb and domestic after everything explodes, like Aetrian trying to make breakfast and failing while Jarrod laughs, but that’s probably not happening. The art has that soft 2D style that fits the mood, not super glossy, not ugly either, just cozy in a slightly awkward way, like a sketchbook that got horny and sentimental at the same time. The only thing that pissed me off is that one outfit Aetrian wears that looks like it’d take ten minutes just to unbutton before you can even touch his chest properly, and they never bother to change it. If you go in hoping to spam choices, you’ll be disappointed, but if you just let the story wash over you and enjoy every stolen look, every shaky breath, every sticky, possessive finish that says “you’re mine,” it’s a pretty sweet, filthy little fantasy to get lost in for a while.
